My Journey

My Professional Background

My interest in people and their lives has shaped my professional path. After completing my teaching and psychology studies in South Africa, I worked for many years with children and their families. This experience deepened my understanding of people’s lived experiences and led me to continue my training in psychology, counselling, and sexual therapy.

As a psychological counsellor (BCB - Bildungszentrum für Christliche Begleitung & Beratung, Switzerland), I work together with clients to reflect on the paths they have taken and those that lie ahead, helping them recognise and strengthen their inner resources.

Movement has also been an important part of my life. Advanced Pilates Matwork training at art of motion deepened my appreciation for the connection between body, mind, and emotional well-being — an understanding that also informs my work in counselling.

This naturally led me to sexual therapy and counselling (Vertiefungslehrgang, Zürcher Institut für Sexologie und Sexualtherapie). I work with the understanding that sexuality is learned and can continue to develop throughout life. Conversations about relationships and sexuality can help bring clarity, recognise patterns, and open possibilities for growth and change.

I am currently undertaking advanced training in Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor Therapy (PBSP®), a body-oriented and emotion-focused approach that draws on neurobiological understanding and the concept of embodiment, recognising the close connection between emotional experience, memory, and the body.
